Kayedem has the ability to create recycled aggregates, such as:
6F2 - crushed brick, concrete and stone crushed to 70mm to dust.
or
MOT type 1 - Soley concrete crushed to 40mm to dust
By creating these recycled aggregates from the demolition arisings it allows dramatic commercial savings due to the removal of haulage costs associated with importing aggregates to the site. This service is also far more sustainable than the importation of virgin products to the site, which has a significantly higher carbon footprint due to the quarrying and haulage to the development.
Kayedem is fully aware of the contamination risks involved when crushing demolition arisings to form aggregates, however, to ensure all of our products are safe and fit to use, Kayedem offers a chemical testing service, performed by a 3rd party laboratory which is fully accredited to 17025 UKAS standards.
